Middle School

(12-13-Year-Old)

DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTION

The Middle School Years (the Twelve- and Thirteen-Year-Old Classes) represent a vital transitional stage as students prepare for Secondary School. During this time, they take their first steps into advanced mathematics and develop stronger critical reading and writing skills. They also cultivate effective study habits, greater independence, and a sense of personal responsibility, building a solid foundation for future academic success.

Jeanne Baca

Director of Instruction

The social and academic needs of the 12-13-year-old students are met through a program of Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Science, Cultural Studies, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Information Technology. Korean, French, German, Spanish and Slovak are taught as Foreign and Native Languages. Intensive English instruction is available. Qualified students may enroll in Secondary classes.  The counseling program prepares students for the Secondary program.  Students participate in Student Government, after school activities, sports, and social events.
