*Special Needs  

You will have a chance to disclose learning needs, challenges, disabilities and/or health issues on the application forms. Your disclosure at this time will help us determine how we can help your child succeed at the school and match them with appropriate resources.  

At this stage, we can also let you know if we are unable to effectively address the needs of your child. 

Students are allowed to enter the program if they are 30 months old (2.5 years old). An application for a child younger than 30 months will be accepted under the provision the child’s first day will be after the child reaches 30 months. Students entering the program are required be toilet trained prior to admission into the program. 

You will receive an email from the school confirming the acceptance of your child, their class placement and the date of your child’s first day at school. A non-refundable registration fee will be requested at this time in order to hold your child’s spot in the class. The business office will send you a tuition contract to finalize registration.  

We understand starting a new school can filled with mixed emotions. We match your child with a classmate to act as a “buddy” during their first days at school to help make this transition as smooth as possible.  

Parents will receive weekly newsletters to stay connected to the school community, learn about upcoming events and opportunities to engage in the Parent Support Group.

The assessment for student admission will begin only once the above documentation has been successfully received by the school. Documentation is accepted both electronically or as a hard copy. 

QSI International School of Bratislava utilizes a rolling admissions policy, meaning applications will be evaluated upon receipt. Successful applicants may commence studies at any time during the school year.

English Language Requirements   

Students who need further English language proficiency will be placed into our Intensive English (IE) program and given dedicated time during the school day for English Support. Once students test out of the IE program, they will then be placed into the first level of Literature & Writing.  

QSI Class Placement by Age 

Students are placed with their homeroom age group according to their date of birth; however, they are assessed for achievement in Mathematics and Literacy (Reading and Writing) upon admission to the program and can be placed at a different achievement level for these courses.
